TikTok

Save TikTok videos. Nothing added, nothing uploaded.

The video you are watching, from TikTok’s web app to your Downloads folder.

Grablet is a browser extension. Open the video on tiktok.com, let it play, click Save. The file goes to your Downloads folder. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, and Grablet stamps nothing on it.

Add to Chrome Add to Edge Add to Firefox

Free and unlimited. No account, no tracking, no watermarks.

Your browser will ask for access to websites. That is how Grablet sees media on the page you are on. Nothing is ever sent to us. Why it needs that

On Android, install Grablet in Firefox for Android. Also available on desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Grablet is not available in Chrome for Android or Firefox on iOS.

How to save a TikTok video

  1. Install Grablet from the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons or Firefox Add-ons. There is no sign-up.
  2. Open the video on tiktok.com as you normally would, from your feed, a profile or search, and let it play for a moment.
  3. Click Save, on the post itself or in the Grablet popup, where everything on the page is listed by type and quality, best first.

The file lands in your Downloads folder, filed under the site’s name.

What it saves

What it won’t save

And, as everywhere: not YouTube, and nothing DRM-protected. Store policy in the first case, the law in the second. No setting unlocks either.

Questions

Is there a watermark?

Grablet adds nothing to the file. TikTok itself sometimes serves its web player a copy with its logo in the picture, and sometimes a clean one; Grablet saves whichever your browser received, and the popup shows every copy it can see so you can pick.

Do I need to paste a link into a website?

No. Those sites fetch the video through their own servers, which is how they end up watermarking or resizing it. Grablet works from your browser, on the video itself, and no third party is involved.

Does it work signed out?

On public videos, yes. tiktok.com shows most videos without an account, and Grablet sees whatever the page plays.

Can it download a whole profile?

No. Grablet saves the video you have opened. It never crawls a profile or a feed, and that is a rule, not a missing feature.

TikTok is not available where I live. Will Grablet help?

No. Grablet works on the page your browser can load. If tiktok.com does not load for you, there is nothing for it to see.

Private by construction

What you save never passes through us. Grablet finds the media, assembles a stream and saves the file inside your browser, needs no account, and never uploads anything. Its one server issues Pro licence keys and never learns what you save. The privacy policy is short because there is little to say.

Please only save content you have the right to keep, and respect the people who made it.
