Features
Everything Grablet does.
Free unless it says Pro. Every new install starts with a free Pro trial.
Grablet is a browser extension for desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and Firefox for Android. It notices what the page you are on has loaded and saves it in one click, straight from the site to your computer. No account, no uploads, no watermarks.
Free and unlimited. No account, no tracking, no watermarks.
Your browser will ask for access to websites. That is how Grablet sees media on the page you are on. Nothing is ever sent to us. Why it needs that
On Android, install Grablet in Firefox for Android. Also available on desktop Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Grablet is not available in Chrome for Android or Firefox on iOS.
Saving
- One-click saves of video, pictures, sound and documents, from the popup, where everything on the page is listed by type and quality, best first.
- A Save button on the post itself, on the built-in sites, including every picture in a carousel.
- Save all, or tick the ones you want. Several saves run at once, each with its own progress.
- Save with Grablet on the right-click menu of a picture, video, sound or file link.
- Real file names, filed in
Downloads/Grablet/<site>/, or loose in Downloads if you prefer. - Any other website, once you switch Grablet on there from the popup, through your browser’s own permission prompt.
- Behind your own login: it saves what your browser has already loaded, nothing more.
Streams
- HLS (m3u8) and DASH streams assembled into one MP4, with picture and sound joined, AES-128 streams opened and live HLS recorded until you stop. Assembly is free until 9 March 2027, then three a day free or unlimited with Pro.
- Subtitles saved beside the video as .srt, from HLS streams that carry them.
- Long videos written to disk as they arrive, so a file of several hundred megabytes comes out whole.
Pictures
- The Images tab: every picture on the page in one grid, filtered by size and type, saved or zipped.
- WebP and AVIF saved as JPG or PNG, converted in your browser at full size.
- The Gallery, in the side panel: everything on the page as thumbnails, with a filter box, sorting, a slideshow and dragging to your desktop.
Sound
- Sound only, as MP3, free, with no length limit from version 0.1.0.602 (earlier versions stop at twenty minutes).
- The original track, as .m4a, with no re-encoding. Pro.
Keeping and sharing
- Rich bookmarks and a Library on your own device. Preview the source page, title, thumbnail and description before saving. Add notes, folders and tags; search descriptions; import browser bookmarks and export HTML, JSON or CSV.
- Send to your phone: hand a video or picture to WhatsApp Web or Telegram Web, ready to send.
- Settings that follow you, kept in your browser’s synced storage, so a second computer starts where the first left off.
Pro tools
- Private Bookmarks: a password-protected local vault with encrypted titles, URLs, descriptions, notes and thumbnails. Includes automatic locking and encrypted backups. After Pro ends, existing bookmarks remain available to unlock, open, export and delete.
- Clips and GIFs: a part of a video, cut at the keyframe with no re-encoding, or an animated GIF of up to 30 seconds.
- Record this tab, for a player nothing can fetch. Chrome and Edge.
- Evidence mode: a record beside each save with its source, the time and the file’s SHA-256, plus a picture of the page.
- Your own cloud: save straight into OneDrive or Google Drive, with a share link.
- File names your way: a template with {title}, {site}, {date}, {res} and more, everywhere or for one site.
- The stream engine, unlimited after the beta ends on 9 March 2027.
Grablet Pro is ₹999 a year in India and US$12 a year everywhere else, with a full refund on request within 14 days.
Control and privacy
- Download-click protection: on a site you switch it on for, a click on the video opens the video and not an unwanted tab to another site. It stays off until you turn it on for that one site.
- No account, no analytics, no telemetry. Nothing you save passes through us. The privacy policy lists the few requests Grablet makes.
- Never YouTube, never DRM-protected services. Store policy in the first case, the law in the second.
